🌾 Farming Guide

Unlock chain: Repair bridge (60 Wood + 60 Stone) → Carpenter's Shop → Mill → Barn/Coop → Greenhouse.

Two semi-automation statues unlocked at Mining Lv60:

• 🌊 Water Sprite Statue: Auto-waters every crop within a 2-tile radius — 24 tiles per day (5×5 block minus the statue's own tile). Charge with an Essence Stone (made at the Stone Refinery in the mines). (Unlock: Reach Mining Lv60 + learn the Dragon's Breath spell, then blast open the beach cave SW of the farm (jump off the cliff, swim east to a small beach). Chest inside holds the blueprint + 1 free statue.)
• 🐮 Animal Sprite Statue: Auto-pets every animal in the building — free daily affection/happiness, no need to pet each animal by hand. Place on the pedestal inside the building. (Unlock: Mining Lv60 unlocks the recipe (added in the second major update, 2025-03-10). Craft at the workshop with Refined Stone + Essence Stone.)

💡 Water Sprite covers 24 tiles (5×5 minus statue). Place multiple 5×5 blocks edge-to-edge for seamless coverage. Each statue needs Essence Stone charging.

Complete the "Upgrade the Carpenter's Shop" questline, then buy the Small or Large Greenhouse blueprint at the Carpenter's Shop.. Cross-season planting — grow any crop year-round. Key to museum crop sets, stable high-value output, and the Roasted Rice Tea endgame combo (Rice + Tea together).

• House appearance customization — after fully upgrading the farmhouse, Landen sends a letter unlocking style options at the Carpenter's Shop.
• New Ranching perks — Playtime, Eggstra, Close Bond II, and True Trust.
• Big Chicken mount + Monster Pet Skins (via the Friend-Shaped perk).
• Crystal Resonators + Song Crystals (Zorel's Saturday market) — customize the BGM on your farm and in your home.
• New furniture sets — Monster, Ornate, Bonsai, Dragon, and more.
• New museum sets — Honey Set and Terrarium Treasures Set.
• ⭐ QOL: during March's 8-heart event, crops are auto-watered and animals auto-fed (community-requested).

• Don't expand too fast in the early game — there is no full automation in EA or 1.0, and an oversized farm eats your whole day.
• Prioritize the Sprite Statues — push the mines to Lv60 to unlock both Water and Animal Sprite before scaling up.
• Greenhouse is high priority — cross-season planting is critical for the museum and a stable income.
• Water Sprite covers 24 tiles (not 36), so till in 5×5 blocks with the statue in the center; tile multiple 5×5 blocks edge-to-edge for seamless coverage.
• Plant a patch of in-season regrow crops in front of every Large Barn/Coop — animals auto-eat them and drop shiny beads (more profitable than plain feed).
• Plan Large buildings in easy-to-reach spots — you'll be swapping the Animal Sprite's Essence Stone every 5 days.

Mistria Layout Planner — a fan-made tool (not official):

• Import a Steam save to auto-read your farm layout (save path: %LocalAppData%\FieldsOfMistria\saves).
• Display toggles — grid, collision, wet soil, off-season plants, fruiting trees, furniture by set, background stars.
• Upgrade 0–4 toggle to switch layout by farmhouse upgrade tier.
• Elements / Selected elements panel for item management; press R to rotate.
• JSON import/export — restore layouts across devices or browsers.
• Companion Tracker (gifts given / museum donated) and an item table on the same site.
